A Heartfelt Letter From Our Parent Ambassador, Sara Dorsky
Dear Friend,
In a blink, a life can change forever. The day my daughter Dina died in a drowning accident was
the day my entire life became something I never expected. Three years later, I have transformed
into a mother on a mission to help prevent families from experiencing such a tragedy.
Drowning remains the leading cause of accidental death for children under five. These aren’t just
statistics – they represent real children, real families, forever changed in moments of quiet
tragedy that occur in pools, lakes, bathtubs, and other bodies of water. It happens silently and
quickly, often with adults nearby who don’t realize what’s happening beneath the surface until
it’s too late. As loving, devoted, and protective parents, it is our duty to put several layers
of protection in place to optimize pool safety. This is why I’m advocating for people to use
technologies that can save lives, such as Coral Mylo (an underwater AI camera) and SwamCam (a smart pool monitoring system).
